Brooklyn Medical Wellness Training and Support

THE PRESCRIPTION IS THE EASY PART.

Muscle-first training and nutrition coaching alongside GLP-1s, TRT, and HRT.
Who This Is For

FOR PEOPLE INVESTING IN THEIR HEALTH.

Our Approach

MULTIPLY THE MEDICINE.

The prescription is the easy part. If you are investing in a GLP-1, TRT, or HRT, you are paying for a door to open. Training is what walks through it, and without it, you leave most of what you paid for on the table.

A GLP-1 with structured training and a protein target means the scale drops fat instead of muscle. TRT with progressive strength work becomes visible muscle instead of a better lab number. HRT with the right programming protects bone, muscle, and body composition through the transition. This is not one plus one equals two. The medicine and the coaching multiply each other.

And why you’re on it is not our business. Health, vanity, energy, all legitimate. Our job is that you get the most out of it, safely and thoughtfully. Your prescriber manages the protocol; we coach everything around it and share notes both ways.

Your Coaching Team

COACHES WHO SPEAK BOTH LANGUAGES.

John and Chantel lead this coaching. John works with men on TRT and clients on GLP-1 protocols: training, protein, and the habits that turn a prescription into a result. Chantel leads our women’s side, coaching women through perimenopause, menopause, and HRT, where nutrition and training have to change because the body has. Every client gets a lead coach who owns the program and watches the numbers the scale can’t see.

What We Specialize In

SUPPORT FOR EACH PROTOCOL.

Whatever you’re on, or exploring, the training around it is our job. If yours is not here, ask.

GLP-1

Semaglutide and tirzepatide support for men and women: preserve muscle, lose fat, stabilize the bloodwork.

TRT

For men. Turning testosterone therapy into strength and muscle, not just a better lab number.

HRT

For women in perimenopause and menopause. Strength, bone density, and body composition through the change.

PEPTIDES

Programming and recovery built around clinician-managed peptide protocols.

VITAMINS

Whatever else you’re taking, we help you train so it actually pays off.

The Process

FROM PRESCRIPTION TO RESULTS.

01

Consultation

A free consult call about your protocol, your prescriber, your goal, and whether we’re the right support.

02

Physical Assessment

Your coach baselines muscle and fat by segment on the InBody 580. On a protocol, this number is everything.

03

First Training Block

Muscle-first programming and a protein target, built around your medication.

04

Retest And Progress

We retest and adjust as your protocol changes. Everything points to one place: results that outlast the prescription.

Common Questions

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Possibly some. Any meaningful weight loss can include lean tissue, but most of what GLP-1s take off is still fat. The job at Physical Culture Brooklyn is improving that ratio: progressive lifting, enough protein, and tracking body composition as the weight drops. The goal is not a lower number on the scale. It is coming out leaner without giving away the muscle you worked for.

Some regain is common; in clinical trials, people who stopped semaglutide or tirzepatide regained a meaningful amount. That is not the medication failing. It is the medication being part of what controlled the problem. So we build the things you keep: muscle, habits, food structure, daily activity. Whether you stay on or stop is a conversation with your prescriber.

The medication can drive significant weight loss without exercise. But resistance training is the best tool there is for keeping muscle and strength while weight drops, and cardio protects your fitness. The GLP-1 makes eating less easier. Training decides the quality of what you lose. We are not asking you to outwork the medication, just making sure your body keeps up with it.

Appetite suppression is exactly why protein has to become deliberate. A practical starting range is 80 to 120 grams per day, adjusted for body size and training. When food volume gets hard, protein goes first: smaller protein-dense meals, Greek yogurt, eggs, shakes, whatever you can get down consistently. If eating or hydration becomes genuinely difficult, that is a prescriber conversation.

Because TRT is not a hypertrophy program. It can raise lean mass in men with diagnosed low testosterone, but the effect is not automatic or unlimited. Muscle still requires progressive training, protein, and recovery, and more medication is not the fix for a program with no progression. The prescription changes the physiology. The program determines what you build with it.

The context changes: fat shifts, muscle gets harder to keep, bone health moves up the list, and recovery gets touchier. The answer is almost never to train lighter forever. Heavy, progressive strength work, enough volume, and real recovery still work. We adjust the inputs around the woman in front of us instead of using menopause as a reason to under-train her.

Some, depending on the therapy. TRT can add lean mass in men with diagnosed low testosterone. Menopausal hormone therapy helps what it is prescribed for, symptoms and bone, but it is not a weight-loss or muscle-building treatment. Either way, the medication changes the context. Training, nutrition, and recovery are the levers you control, and they shape the result.

Yes, with your permission. We share training history and body-composition trends; your medical team handles diagnosis, dosing, labs, and side effects. We handle the training and execution around it. We do not replace their role, and they do not need to write your workouts.

Do not delay a medically appropriate GLP-1 for a muscle phase, but starting strength training and protein habits now is a very smart move: you enter the weight-loss phase with a routine that holds and muscle preservation already on the agenda. Do not wait until you are thirty pounds down to think about the tissue you want to keep.

Not at all. Some clients here are on GLP-1s, TRT, or hormone therapy; others are on nothing. Medication is not an admission requirement, and we coach the person in front of us. If your goal is muscle and fat loss with no medicine in the picture, our Body Composition and Hypertrophy coaching is your page.
